What is PRP, or a Vampire Facelift®?

PRP, also referred to as a “vampire facial,” takes advantage of your body’s own healing powers, with the addition of growth factors and vitamins. It generates new skin formation and promotes the production of collagen. First, our certified professionals take blood from your arm and separate the platelets from the blood. Then, your platelets are injected into your skin with needles, similar to a microneedling session. It’s a way to stimulate the growth of collagen naturally in your face to restore your youthful glow. Like microneedling, a pen of surgical grade needles are used to create hundreds of micro-injuries in the top and second layers of the skin.

What Does PRP, or a Vampire Facelift®, Treat?

PRP helps rejuvenate skin using resources from your own body. PRP can reduce wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks in the face, hands, and neck. It improves the growth of collagen and elastin naturally by placing a high concentration of platelets in the area, which helps tissue recover. PRP is used to provide rejuvenating changes to your skin with a natural, subtle look. PRP can also treat these conditions.
  • Scars in the face, neck, or hands
  • Deep wrinkles
  • Fine lines
  • Acne scars
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Rosacea
  • Brown spots
  • Loose skin
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Problematic pores

Questions About PRP

Q1 Is it Safe?

Yes, Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a safe process. PRP or Vampire Facelift® is performed by certified professionals at Ô de Rose Med Spa. We use sterile surgical-grade needles to ensure that you’re getting the safest and best possible experience. It is possible but rare to have bruising at the site where we draw blood.

Q2 How long does it take?

A session of PRP can take an hour or two. You will not have to undergo anesthesia, and the most pain you’ll feel is the prick of a needle. After that, your skin will be rejuvenated, vibrant, and beautiful.

Q3 How long does it last?

For PRP, we recommend 3-6 treatments that are each 4-6 weeks apart for the best results. From there, you can get PRP every 18 months to two years, if needed. PRP typically lasts two years.
